Thoughts From Our Honeymoon

untitled
Some thoughts from our honeymoon in Nova Scotia…

I am so in love with my husband that sometimes it hurts. It makes me remember that our time together, that our time here, is very short.

This picture was taken on an insanely gorgeous hike we took in the Nova Scotia highlands, along the Cabot Trail. Being outside, breathing the fresh air, and seeing the natural world at its very best is often the only thing that makes me feel like everything is going to be okay.

Because maybe we will somehow always be together?

Brazilian poet Vinicius de Moraes wrote:

Eu possa me dizer do amor (que tive):
Que não seja imortal, posto que é chama
Mas que seja infinito enquanto dure.

… which means

I could say to myself of the love (I had):
Let it not be immortal, since it is flame
But let it be infinite while it lasts.

Isn’t that gorgeous?Untitled.png
